Story
I am running the London marathon for BackCare -the Charity for Healthier
Backs. I promise I'll do all the hard work (i.e. running for more than 45
miles per week, nurturing sore legs, not drinking any alcohol, eating pasta
day in day out) and all I am asking from you is a donation to help me
towards my fundraising target.
BackCare is a national charity that helps people and organisation manage back pain better. Every year more than 20 million people experience back pain in the UK and almost 5 million working days are lost due to back pain. BackCare firmly believes that with the right information and support, this can be changed.
BackCare is there to provide information and support to people with back pain. They have numerous publications, a comprehensive website and run a telephone helpline for anyone with questions on how to manage back pain. Unfortunately some people with back pain haven't been able to benefit from the available treatments and BackCare is there to listen to them and point options they may not have thought of.
Furtermore, BackCare works with employers, health professionals, policy makers, researchers and people with back pain on finding better ways of preventing and treating back pain.
More information on BackCare can be found on www.backcare.org.uk
And please don't forget to 'gift aid' your doation, this allows BackCare to claim and extra 25% from the taxman without costing you a penny extra!
Thanks!
