Well we did it!
The IT&BC 3 Peaks Challenge was a resounding success with all 20 walkers making it up and down each of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon safely.
Thanks so much to everyone who has sponsored us, your generosity in these tough time is inspirational and you have really helped to make a difference.
A huge and heartfelt thanks from all the walkers to Brian, Chris, Dan, Gary, Nicola and Peter for their fantastic efforts and commitment in the lead up to and over the weekend. Between them they drove just under 4000 miles since leaving Swindon on Friday on much less sleep than that afforded the walking group, prepared food and hot drinks for all, filled camelbaks, doled out a Ribena / Dioralyte concoction with military precision, managed base HQ comms and overall played a huge role in keeping flagging bodies and spirits up. Without them we simply wouldn’t have gone anywhere.
And whilst we endured blizzard and white-out conditions near the summit of Ben Nevis, we were very fortunate to miss the appalling wet and windy conditions that battered Snowdonia earlier than our arrival there and any rain of consequence at all over the weekend.
