Story

From May 2021, a group of us in West Cumbria are collecting rubbish in St bees, Sandwith, Whitehaven and the surrounding areas while raising money for the Freedom Project, all donations welcome - thank you!

All money raised will go to the Freedom Project to help with running costs.

The Freedom Project is the only organisation offering free, long-term, community-based support in West Cumbria as part of its mission to help stop domestic abuse. We work with perpetrators, families and children, and have supported over 10,000 individuals during our 22 years. Referrals last year increased by 57%.Our key services include a helpline, group support for adults and children victims of abusive relationships, one-to-one counselling & training.

About the charity

We work with victims, perpetrators and children living with domestic and sexual abuse across West Cumbria. We offer a free confidential helpline, 1-2-1 counselling, group support, couples counselling, children’s counselling, holistic therapies & training public & private organisations.
