During the Christmas break I spent a couple of days back home in Coventry. I was appalled by the number of people sleeping rough in the City Centre and thought that in today’s modern society this simply isn’t right. Unfortunately, this is not just an issue for Coventry but effects many of the towns and cities up and down the UK.

I appreciate I am not going to change the world but “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. With this in mind there is a charity based in Coventry called “Coventry Cyrenians” who support homeless as well as people who are at risk of being homeless. So what I plan to do is something called “1000 in 10” 1000 miles by the end of October (10 month) on the ergo. The reason for 1000 is because there is about 1000 people effected by homelessness in Coventry.
