The Cabbage Patch 10 · 17 October 2021

We work with young people affected by displacement and crisis, enabling them to access, remain and progress in education at all stages of their journey. By fundraising or making a donation, you can bring hope, direction and the opportunity to learn to the 3,500 unaccompanied minors in the UK.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We will be running The Twickenham Cabbage Patch 10 on Sunday 17th Oct to raise money for Refugee Education UK

Given the recent events in Afghanistan, we'd like to support Refugee Education UK in their amazing work providing essential support and resources to young people who have been displaced.

The charity was set up over 10 years ago by volunteers, and strives to equip young refugees and asylum-seekers with skills to build positive futures by thriving in education and improving social, emotional and mental health.

More details can be found on the website https://www.reuk.org/mission-and-values.

Any donation is greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot,

Sophie, Josie, Ross, Alex and Greg

Refugee Education UK equips young refugees to build positive futures by thriving in education. They support over 500 young refugees and asylum seekers as they overcome the barriers in accessing education, by supporting them at every stage of their journey to achieve significant education outcomes, and by helping them use their education to create meaningful futures in leadership and employment. REUK's educational mentoring programme matches young refugees with trained volunteer mentors across London, the East of England, Oxford and Birmingham; their educational wellbeing programme addresses the acute educational and mental health challenges that some young people face; the educational progression programme supports young people looking to access further and higher education; and their training programme upskills practitioners and professionals in supporting young refugees. REUK also conducts research in the UK and internationally on the subject of refugee education.
