Story

14 Sprint Triathlons in 7 consecutive weeks...
It is not quite as crazy as it sounds. A sprint triathlon is;

  1. 750 m swim -
    Mine is in a pool, but I don't kick off at the end. I just lightly touch the side and then watch out for people nearly drowning, as they laugh at my fumble turn. Until 6 months ago I had never swam more than 250 m

  2. 20 km  Cycle -
    Ah cycling. If god had meant us to walk, he or she would not have given us bikes. For me this is a brief interlude while I cough up chlorine and get ready for the dreaded...

  3. 5 km run -
    It is over 25 years since I ran more than 5 km. With every step, stumble, or stagger that I make, it comes home to me why I stopped this stupid pastime. Hats off to anyone daft enough to run across the road never mind 5 K.

The Plan

The plan is to do 7 sets back to back once per week over the seven weeks. Also I will do 7 sets spread out over the rest of the week.

The training

Oops I forgot this bit. Maybe next time eh. I am drinking again after no alcohol for  6 weeks, so that should help.
