Ticleni to Woking Transeuropean Challenge · 3 May 2013

The Relief Fund for Romania is a British charity that raises funds for projects in Romania helping a wide range of groups in need including street children, the sick, the elderly and destitute communities. Its work promotes the principles of self help among the most marginalised in the poorest areas of Romania.

Story

Duncan Grassie and myself are cycling from Ticleni in Romania to Woking in Surrey UK. We both worked in Romania for Petrofac for a significant period of time which we enjoyed immensly and we wish to give something back to the local community. The route will start from the Petrofac Offices in Ticleni on the 27th May 2013 and will take us over the Carpathian mountains, into Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Belgium, France, and across from Dunkirk to Dover and onward to London and finally the Petrofac Offices in Woking. The trip is 1,654 miles in total and we plan to do this in 33 days.
