Alasdair Grant, Tristan Burwell, Simon Doherty and Hugh Richardson, all serving officers with the 9th/12th Royal Lancers will compete in the Marathon des Sables in April 2015.  Commonly known as the toughest footrace on the planet, the team will attempt to beat the British team record and raise £10,000 for The Soldiers' Charity (The Army Benevolent Fund).
