Story
I am very grateful for my two little brothers, as annoying as they can be. Hey ho that's the life of an older sister. Both my brothers mean a lot to me in different ways. The one I grew up with, and the one I semi-mothered (don't worry mom, I'm not taking any credit away from you). JK I semi-(s)mothered both of them - sorry Dylan.
I love my brothers, but I do not always know how best to show this. It usually involves cringe selfies and forced hugs. After watching the Bath Half last year, I really wanted to do this half marathon on their behalf, but there is no charity for siblings-that-are-better-looking-than-me. Alas, I have decided to run this year's marathon for Lucas, and next year I will run for Dylan. There is a sequel to this half marathon - be prepared.
Lucas is my youngest brother - 14 years younger to be exact. I have watched him grow smarter and funnier and cheekier for the past 5 years. He is awesome! So this year I will train and run with the aim of raising money for Down Syndrome Education International, an international charity that researches evidence-based advice to improve outcomes for children with Down Syndrome worldwide (https://www.dseinternational.org/en-gb/).
I would really appreciate all the support I can get from my friends and family, be that in training advice, kicking my butt out of the house to run, or a small donation that will go to Down Syndrome Education International. Please do not worry about the amount you are giving. I will be running in March 2020, so there is plenty of time for me to reach my monetary goal.
Thank you so much!!!!
