Story

I have decided to run the Bath Half Marathon in 2020 for Rainforest Concern!

Rainforest Concern is a conservation charity that works to protect threatened natural habitats , the biodiversity they contain and the indigenous people who depend on them for their survival. In 25 years they have helped to protect 2.2 million hectares of threatened forests. Fundamental to Rainforest Concern’s philosophy is the formation of strong partnerships with conservation NGOs in the countries in which they operate. They currently work in 8 countries; Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Romania, Chile, Colombia and India.

Every day in the news we hear about the disatrousous effects of climate change on people, animals, their habitat. I want to run the BathHalf for Rainforest Concern because I believe that every little thing we do that can help save the biodiversity on our planet can make a difference. Rainforest Concern mainly have projects in South America and after living in Chile for 6 months last year, I saw many of the incredible and diverse landscapes and wildlife that exist there and I want to do my bit to help conserve them.

I would be so grateful if you could give a donation, however big or small, to help support the work being done to preserve life on this planet. I promise I'll run as fast as my legs can carry me :)
