We’re committed to giving back and making a difference to our local communities which is why we’re taking part in the RSM Together challenge and supporting the Stonebridge City Farm.
More than just a farm, Stonebridge provides training and education for the local community, visitors and volunteers.
The operation of the farm enables them to support around 200 volunteers on site each week, many of whom have a physical disability, a mental health challenge, or additional learning needs. They offer multiple volunteering opportunities for all skill levels, interests and abilities.
Stonebridge City Farm has a wide range of animals to visit, many of which you can feed, a great play area for your little ones to enjoy, a shop selling souvenirs and their own eggs and honey (when available) and a café and shop where you can grab something to eat or a snack.
The gardens are definitely worth a visit where you can see their small Japanese garden, a wildlife pond and an array of shrubs and trees; so much is packed into a small site! Seasonal plants, produce and herbs are grown, some of which you can purchase from their shop. Visitors to the farm can really enjoy a ‘small slice of the countryside in the heart of the city’.
Stonebridge City Farm do not charge an entrance fee in order to remain accessible to all, although they do encourage donations to help them run the farm. As a registered charity every penny counts, so thank you for supporting them.
