Story

What we want is to continue the University of Manchester Bridge Society's tradition of hosting an event where members of the society play bridge for a full 24 hours straight. However, this time we wanted to choose a charity that is more local to the Manchester Bridge Club and its members, to try and raise support for a local cause instead. We feel that the Francis House Children's Hospice is a perfect example of a community charity, with an aim that benefits everyone, and likewise everyone will want to help.
Our event will be open to anyone who wishes to participate, even if they are just beginners at playing bridge. Three duplicate competitions will be held throughout the event where participants can pair up against others in the room, and prizes will be awarded to the winners.
We hope that as many of you that choose to donate can also be there for the event, but any support is welcomed and more than appreciated.
Thank you!
