Thanks to everyone who has donated so far! Please spread the word amongst family and friends and keep an eye on our FB pages for real time updates on the day!!

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page! Please take 30 seconds to have a quick read and look at the video just to get an idea of what this marathon involves!

Si Phillips, Danny Hogan, Tennis Alden-Court, Tom Pringle, Jay and Sarah Kmieciak-Thorpe, Ann Marie Davenport, Devin Ryan, Marisa Catlin and Gary Rudman will all be running the worlds hardest marathon, the Jungfrau Marathon, to raise money for Help For Heroes.

The reason people give money to Help for Heroes is to make a real difference to the lives of all our wounded men and women. Recently H4H has donated £8,000,000 to the Swimming Pool Complex at Headley Court, a massive £3.5million to Combat Stress and £500,000 to the Relative’s House at Selly Oak hospital.

The 26-mile (42-km) course starts at 1854 ft. (565 m) and twists its way through the Lauterbrunnen Valley, up a mountainside to Wengen, and across Alpine meadows before climbing the final leg to Kleine Scheidegg at 6857 ft. (2090 m). Nearly half the course is over unpaved hiking trails or mountain paths, and the official literature for the race warns:

The Jungfrau Marathon is a demanding test of strength and stamina. The event is therefore open only to well-trained athletes in top physical condition. Each competitor must assume full responsibility for his/her personal state of health. Competitors are reminded that they risk endangering their lives by taking part.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Help for Heroes gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid are added to your donation.

We realise that everyone gets bombarded now with sponsorship forms. However, this is truly a worthy cause and every member of the team will be going through real agony in completing the worlds hardest marathon. All the money raised goes directly to Help For Heroes as the team are paying for their own registration, flights, accomodation, pain killers, plasters, bandages and massages (no happy endings)!!!

So please sponsor us now and spread the word. Thank You!
