"Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful" (J.J. Maguire)
In 2009 I raced 500 miles across Antarctica to the South Pole in one of the toughest foot races on the planet. After spending 42 days on the ice with my team mate Ben Fogle and James Cracknell we arrived at the bottom of the world on 22nd January. Tired, hungry and emaciated from our adventure it was only then that I realised the enormity of what we had achived. Three friends we stood united at the geographic south pole. We had come through an adventure that many expected us not to finish and had triumphed together proving that teamwork is everything in difficult circumstances.
I was born in London, raised in Surrey and now work and live in Bristol with my fiancee Karina. Challenge is everything, whether it be on a daily basis or on a massive project. We all thrive on a challenge and so I have worked out the next one.... In 2010 I take on my '30 at 30' Challenge as I turn thirty on 14th June. Follow these challenges online as they evolve
