We’re an anti-poverty charity & community of food banks, working together to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank, while providing practical support for people left without enough money. (Please note we're unable to forward funds onto individual food banks, funds raised here go to Trussell)

Story

Alexandra Panayotou, extreme endurance athlete, will face her toughest endurance challenge yet from 13-15 October as she attempts a 315km non-stop solo run in aid of The Trussell Trust’s UK foodbank network. Arriving at Norwich City FC’s Premier League match against Swansea City, the runner hopes to raise funds and awareness for The Trussell Trust as increasing numbers turn to foodbanks for help.

On Thursday 13 of October at 11.45 am Alex set off running from Salisbury Cathedral.  She is now running solo for 315 kilometres without sleep or rest all the way to Norwich City FC’s Carrow road stadium, where she will arrive on Saturday the 15 at around 3.45 pm at half-time during the Norwich City – Swansea City match.

Alex will be carrying a symbolic food item in her pack, which she will deliver to the representative from the Norwich Foodbank, and she will be carrying NCFC’s mascot “Captain Canary” on her pack.

Alex hopes to raise thousands of pounds for the foodbank network to help open more foodbanks and feed more people in crisis here and right across the country.

Please sponsor Alex on this epic challenge, and help the Trussell Trust Foodbank Network to reach out to more desperate people in crisis here in the UK.

Go Alex!!
