We cracked it!  The course was tougher than expected but we came 14th in a respectable time of about 9hrs 20(ish) minutes (I never did find out our exact time!).  Sadly Emmit broke his arm last weekend and was not able to run but we coerced Skin Hannabus and John Reid (no not the politician!) to compete with us.  The team remained strong throughout despite the soles of my boots falling off within the first 3 miles.  Indeed we finished at pace running the last mile in a blistering time - literally (the Chara Challenge Monkeys had appeared on our tail and there was no way were letting them beat us!).

The event has raised in excess of £70K overall - so a huge thank you to those who have contributed.  This web page will remain open for now so don't be shy about adding to your contributions - it is all for a good cause.

You never know we may even do it again next year; although my legs and feet are telling me otherwise at the moment!?

Many thanks to you for the donations and also my great team mates.

Rory
