Story
Originally, I was just doing this for personal pleasure (bucket list thing) albeit at a leisurely pace with friends, doing 3 peaks in 5 days - how sensible is that?! (usually people do 3 peaks in 24 hours -eek!) however, I have been encouraged by my cardiac rehab patients to set up a justgiving page so that they can sponsor my leisurely endeavours!
We have all had different challenges this year with the covid and there have been some positives such as more people working from home, less stress from the commute and more time with families etc. Staying safe, wearing masks and social distancing continues to be stressful. We all have worked hard to stay positive in the circumstances and that in itself can be quite a challenge!
Mindfulness has been the buzz word this year, a kind of coping strategy through this pandemic. We all have different ways to be mindful and it could be something as simple as appreciating your food or just sitting next to a stream listening to the water flowing. Whatever works for you. All very good for reducing stress, lowering blood pressure and increasing sense of wellbeing.
One of my mission is to send you cheery pictures of my 3 peak progress so please keep an eye on any updates here. We are starting with Ben Nevis on Sunday 20th, Scafell Pike on 22nd and then Snowdon on 24th (September 2020) and I simply cannot wait to enjoy a bit of escapism while raising much needed funds for Sussex Heart Charity!
