Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Georgia’s Children Fundraising Adventures continue this summer !!!

 3PeaksON2Wheels !

Is an insane Physical Challenge that will be undertaken by brothers Matt Maxwell and Phil Ward together with Georgia's Children supporters Eddie Kilfoyle, Andrew Pearce and Aaron Duggan over 6 days starting Sunday 3rd July 2022.

This unique challenge will include climbing the 3 peaks of Ben Nevis , Scafell and Snowdon ... with the crazy twist of cycling between mountains... A total of almost 500 miles Cycling and around 12,000 feet Climbing!!

Finishing at Snowdon on Saturday 9th July where we will be inviting the public to a mass Salford invasion of Snowdon raising funds for Georgia’s Children of the World... in the names if ALL we have loved and lost.

All funds from the 3PeaksON2Wheels challenge will got to support one of Georgia's favourite Children ... 9 Year old Cerebral Palsy sufferer Heidi-Lou from Swinton who recently underwent life changing SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) Surgery.

The surgery was not available to Heidi-Lou on the NHS but through the determination of her dedicated mum and huge support of our  amazing community funds were raised so that Heidi could benefit from the surgery.

The surgery has already released Heidi from a life time of constant and severe pain caused by the spasticity of her condition , but it is now ESSENNTIAL she receives at least two years regular Physiotherapy to retrain her muscles to work in a more normal way ... that could possibly lead to Heidi-Lou being able to walk with the aid of a frame ... A once impossible dream for her and her mum.

As wonderful as our NHS is though it again fails young Heidi-Lou and cannot support the ESSENTIAL PHYSIO that she needs , because the operation , carried out by NHS staff, is deemed to have been Private as it was self funded because it wasn't available to Heidi on the NHS !  ... all a little hard to believe !

Georgia's Children have funded Heidi-Lou's physio for several years and hopefully with your continued generosity , the dedication of the 3PeaksON2Wheels  challengers we can hit our target of £15K and we can the essential physio that Heidi-Lou needs to literally take her first steps to actually walking with a frame sometime in the near future.

I really hope you can support our appeal in the memory of my 19 year old daughter Georgia ... and all of those we have loved and lost along the way ... May love reign over us for ever and ever ...
