In memory of Bryony Hollands

Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.

Story

On 21st August 2015, our beautiful Bryony was killed, aged 19, by a drink driver who mounted the pavement killing her and injuring her boyfriend Ben. A talented musician, Bryony had plans to be a music therapist, using her talents to brighten the lives of others as she had done throughout her short life.

Physically this may not be the biggest running challenge I've taken on, but aged 50 and weighing 30 pounds more than my racing weight of 10 years ago, it will require a number of months of committed training. Please pledge to support me if I reach this goal and as I seek to raise funds to support a charity that Bryony can no longer support herself. (Ok, so having set this up it doesn't look like the pledge option is available, so please donate now, or if you want to make me work for this then make a small donation now and promise more if/when done. Keeping coming back for updates or check http://www.parkrun.org.uk/maidenhead/results/athletehistory/?athleteNumber=14539 )

For the record, I restarted running in January after few runs over the last 7 years and completed the Maidenhead Parkrun on 27/02/16 in 23:51 - so I need to cut my time by over 16%.
