When I first was told by Daniel that he was not going to beat his illness, it didn't seem real.  The realisation that my friend was going to pass away hadn't hit me yet.  And now, over a year after his passing, it still hasn't.  There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of him, his family and the life he could've lived.  

Daniel was one of my closest and oldest friends, and the world is a darker place without his smile and laugh.  I want to do my part to raise money for this incredible charity and raise money for other children who are suffering like Daniel - and help in whatever way we can.
