Paul's colossal sponsored weight loss extravangaza

Paul's 50lb Challenge · 24 July 2013
As the most corpulent members of the service I have decided to lose weight and raise money for the National Autistic Society in the process. Bearing in mind that I am a) disturbingly greedy, and b) chronically lazy I'm envisioning this taking a while, but the pressure of helping out such a worthy cause should act as a strong incentive than the crippling chest pains or having to buy my shirts from Millets.
The initial plan is to lose 50lb (that's 22.6kg, Eurofans) over 100 days, starting from 24 July and ending 1 November. If anyone would like to encourage me on this dark, cruel, pastry-less path then I would be delighted to be sponsored for the NAS, with payments being collected on Day 100. Feel free to dash any pork-pies, Snickers or the like from my trembling hands during this period. Tron's Tuck Shop will be strictly out of bounds. No, seriously.
The progress of my weight loss will be verified by the leader of my local slimming club, who is lovely. I will be more than happy to share my progress with you as I go along if you wish.
I have chosen the National Autistic Society to receive the funds I raise as I have seen the good work that they do for some of the most hard-to-reach people in society. My brother suffers from severe autism and with the ongoing devastating cuts to services it is thanks to organisations such as the NAS (amongst many) that the most vulnerable in the society are supported through all stages of their life.
You can sponsor me any way you like - a one-off donation, per pound or kilo or percentage if you like. If you feel more comfortable I will happily accept donations in person. It's entirely up to you!
Please dig deep if you can! Thanking you!
