Several years ago my battle against depression was almost lost . I turned to my GP who tried to help but was of no comfort and the system was of no help for my immediate issues . I could have lost that battle and been another statistic . At the time I didn't know about CALM and was lucky I found a way out with help from a special some one . 

Many thousands of people don't have the same luck as me . Things are only getting worse in some ways as the issue of male suicide is not taken as seriously as it should  by some politicians and media outlets . 

I came to the conclusion that I needed to do some thing to help . Raising awareness is a great start ; but it doesn't help keep the lines open . So i'm going to try and do both . The money raised will help to pay for the call center , leaflets , posters and other material that will get the message out  and bring in extra funds to expand this small charity with a huge heart . 

I feel responsible to help out as some one who knows intimately how the world feels like it doesn't care . It does , though it can be difficult to hear it shouting : "I'm coming to help."
