I'm the Scout Leader at the 64th Portsmouth Scout Group and together with my Group Scout Leader, Chris Bowen plus numerous other Adult Helpers and Parents, I am taking part in the Great South Run 2011 to help raise funds to replace our worn out, leaking asbestos cement "temporary" Scout Hut that has been standing for over 35 years!

We also have more than 20 Scouts, Cubs and Beavers entering the Junior Great South Run on the Saturday. We will be wearing BRIGHT! orange T-shirts on the day, so do keep an eye out for us and cheer us on if you see us!!

We are just over halfway to our target of £50,000 to build the new Scout Hut and I'd be so grateful if you could sponsor us, even if it's just a pound.
