We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

6 Regiment RLC have supported The Soldiers' Charity for many years and enjoy the challenge of raising money for this fantastic charity.

This year, we have decided to cycle the length of the 'Way of the Roses' - a historic route that starts in Morecambe, Lancashire (Red Rose) and finished in Bridlington, Yorkshire (White Rose), a total of 170 miles in under two days.  The route includes many challenging ascents that will push the team to its limits.

ABF The Soldiers' Charity is the National Charity of the British Army. Originally established as the ‘Army Benevolent Fund’ in 1944, it provides a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families in times of need.

The Charity makes grants to individuals as well as supporting up to 100 specialist charities each year, which sustain the British Army ‘family’ both at home and around the world.
