Unite Against Cancer is a new Scottish registered cancer charity that was set up in 2012 to fund research into new cancer treatments and to educate and inform on cancer prevention. Keep up to date with events, fundraising, and publications by visiting our website at www.uniteagainstcancer.org

Story

On August 17th 2013, the first of two groups of four girls each, will attempt to complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge, to raise money for Unite Against Cancer

So, the challenge is to climb the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in 24 hours:

5pm - 10pm Ben Nevis

10pm - 4am Drive to Cumbria

4am - 8am Climb Scafell

8am - 1pm Drive to Wales

1pm - 5pm Climb Snowdon

The event becomes even more challenging if the weather is bad and slows us down, or if we get stuck in traffic! So, our training will be geared round having the stamina to possibly run up Snowdon after hardly any sleep or decent food!
