My name is Anna Goncalves and I am member of Jersey Spartans Athletic Club and a regural marathon runner having run both locally and internationally.

Starting on 1st October this year I am going to run SEVEN marathons in SEVEN consecutive days in aid of the charity Headway. That is combined total of 183 miles 935 yards and I will be the first woman in Jersey to attempt this challenge.

I have chosen Headway as the charity I wish to support because my sister suffered a major head injury some time ago. She was one of the lucky ones to pull through but as I am sure you are aware many do not and require extensive care for the rest of their lives. That care does not come cheaply and if this challenge can make a difference to just one of those suffering then I know that my efforts will have been worthwhile.

Of course I am hoping that my effort will be able to help many more by raising £10K. I belive that people will take time to read this and will support me towards my target.
