A Zip Slide · 4 July 2015

We’re the 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK. The carers, researchers and healthcare professionals. The family, friends and fundraisers. United by a clear vision: a future free from arthritis. One in which no one is limited by the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis can cause.

Story

As an RFM for Arthritis Research UK, but also an individual with 3 forms of arthritis, I want to show our supporters, that not only do I ask them to fundraise for us, but I am willing to fundraise too. After having 10 years of my life as I knew it taken away due to the pain and fatigue of arthritis, I would like to prove that there can be light at the end of a tunnel for people with arthritis. I am living proof that treatment which came about due to research carried out by Arthritis Research UK, can give you back a normal life.  After having been prescribed methotrexate almost 4 years ago, I now live a, mostly pain-free,  life. I currently work full time in a job that I love, which I didn't dream possible when diagnosed all that time ago. These days my family, social and working life is good, even great and so I would like to take on a challenge to give something back to Arthritis Research UK, who have been there for me and helped me to re-build a wonderful life, which once upon a time, felt like only an existence.

If you too would like to join me in this challenge, please sign up here .....
