Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page. I've been lucky enough to win a place in this years London Marathon and it would be a privilege to fund raise for Rett UK.
Rett syndrome is a rare non-inherited genetic postnatal neurological disorder that occurs almost exclusively in girls and leads to severe impairments, affecting nearly every aspect of the child's life: their ability to speak, walk, eat, and even breathe easily.
The picture above is of Kerry - the beautiful daughter of very good friends of mine, Jerry and Heather Henderson. Kerry was born in 1993 and is the middle child of Jerry and Heather's three daughters (poor Jerry, the only man in the house with four women!) Rett UK has supported Kerry and the Henderson family for many years, as well as many other families with children that live with Rett syndrome, by contributing crucial care and support, and they continue to do so.
I've been fundraising for Rett UK for many years doing numerous British 10K runs and half marathons. This time it's the big one and I've been training very hard to make sure I can complete the marathon course. Please give whatever you can, remembering every fiver counts! Thanks for your support and I know many of you have supported me over the years. Thank you. xx
