Many people are concerned about the impact of lockdown and societal disruption on mental health particularly for old and vulnerable people. Children and young adults may not be facing the physical ravages of the pandemic in the same way, but there are increasing concerns about the emotional and psychological impacts including health, wellbeing, brain development and life skills.

ACRE's chosen charity, The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, educates children and young adults, and those with responsibility for them - including parents, teachers, employers, GPs and Practice Nurses - about their mental health and wellbeing. By opening up conversations about depression and spotting signs in yourself and others, the charity is working hard to help ensure young people are equipped to maintain and enhance their mental health, and have the confidence to seek help when they need it.
