Aspire Channel Swim 2013 · 1 December 2013 to 31 March 2014 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

After only just learning to swim a few weeks ago I decided the best way to motivate myself to get better at swimming was to take on a massive challenge (as you do). So ignoring my disability I am pushing on and already over 3 miles in. So please support me and Aspire to help me across the channel.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Aspire Channel Swim page.

Over the next 12 weeks, I'll be swimming 22 miles across the English Channel. It's going to be a big challenge and I really need your support.

Every eight hours, someone in the UK is paralysed by spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at anytime, and it isn't always because of a serious accident. Take 23 year old Justin, a talented and active athlete. A simple cough led to a herniated disk which damaged his spinal column. Every pound I raise means Aspire can provide practical help to someone like Justin allowing them to live a more independent life. Please dig deep and sponsor me!
