Story
Having recently come to terms with mental health issues closer to home. I only think it's fair that I raise funds for a charity that attempts to remove all stigma when it comes to men's health.
So between 23 to 27th of November, I will be cycling in and around Norwich raising funds for The Men's Health Forum.
The Men's Health Forum (https://www.menshealthforum.org.uk/more-about-us) is a charity that works to improve men's health services and the health of men. Men visit their GP 20% less frequently that women and are also much less likely to use pharmacy, smoking cessation, weight management and health trainer services. That's all before looking into and taking into account contacting GP for mental health matters.
In England, around 1 in 8 men have a common mental health problem. In 2017, 5,281 suicides were recorded in Great Britain, of these 75% were males. During the week, I'll be posting updates so you can see my progress and how far I've managed to cycle! So please feel free to donate any loose change you can. And please feel free to share among friends and family!
Thank you
