Story
I am doing the Three Peaks Challenge on 23rd July this year to fundraise for the Halo Trust and more specifically its Ukraine Crisis Fund. The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours, including travel time between the peaks - Ben Nevis (1345m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m).
The Halo Trust is responsible for clearing landmines and explosives, teaching people to stay safe, managing weapons and ammunition and campaigning for a landmine free 2025 all over the globe. Your donations will allow Ukrainian staff to keep families safe from explosives and track where the bombs are falling for future clearance.
As I am sure you are all aware, there is a huge humanitarian effort in place at the moment helping Ukrainian refugees, but the work of The Halo Trust is doing the following vital work in Ukraine right now:
1. Teaching children in bomb shelters how to stay safe from deadly explosives.
2. Distributing medical supplies.
3. Providing emergency shelter to families forced to flee fighting.
4. Tracking where explosives fall and preparing to clear the rockets and bombs when conditions allow.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
