We are living through unparalleled times due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The need of the hour will evolve and continue to change as the pandemic progresses.
Sewa Day Volunteers in several teams around the country are prepared to serve the community as is required.Nationally, 2000 plus volunteers over 30 regions have collected and delivered over 1 million meals worth of food during Covid alone
So far, sewaday.org NorthWest has been involved in the following projects:
1- Helping the elderly and those in Isolation with grocery shopping, provision of hot meals, medicine collection, and more.
2- Provision of meals to the NHS hospitals and ambulance stations; homeless shelters; care homes and of course individuals in need.
3- Replenishing food banks around the country with much-needed food and other items.
4- Through the 'Spread some joy' project the old and young are preparing artwork, poems, stories, letters, and more to send to nursing homes and NHS wards up and down the country.
5. Support International students placed in difficulty owing to Covid outbreak.

Owing to economic hardships following Corona Pandemic, from July 2020 sewaday northwest team started helping foodbanks,food hubs, community center with long lasting vegetarian food for the needy and have donated 7.2 tonnes until 18/12/2020. This activity is still ongoing.
From September 2020 sewadaynorthwest has been regularly feeding cooked vegetarian meals to the homeless in Manchester.
