We raise funds and provide support to families of seriously ill children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Finlay’s Friends is a charitable organisation (Charity number SC046675) set up in memory of Finlay Bennett, of Touch Primary School Dunfermline, who died suddenly on the 30th July 2014 from Meningitis at the Yorkhill Children’s Hospital, now the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. Finlay was only 8 years old but in his short life he had always put the needs of others before himself. To honour his kindness and to support other families who experience similar situations to Finlay’s family, Finlay’s Friends aims to provide support when it is most needed.

What we do

Finlay’s Friends provides Comfort Kits to families of seriously ill children admitted to hospital in an emergency, as well as additional support including useful information for the hospital stay, emotional support contacts, resources for the hospital family rooms and more. Initially we are in partnership with the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow who cared for Finlay, but the long term plan is for Finlay’s Friends to support all Scottish Hospitals that need us.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
