Dear visitor,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in aid of the Breast Cancer Care charity.
"Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. Around 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. Of these about 350 are men.
The biggest risk factors for developing breast cancer are getting older, being female and, for a few, having a significant family history of the disease.
Just over 80% of breast cancers occur in women who are over the age of 50.
Nearly half of all cases are diagnosed in people in the 50-69 age group."

With a family history of cancer, I myself had a cancer scare 2013 and have had family members with breast cancer. The impact it had on my family was beyond unbearable - Knowing that the research to find prevention and cures is so close within our reach but held back through lack of funding, is something that doesn't sit well with me…
So when I found out the Electric Run was an event through which you can raise money for Breast Cancer Care, I jumped at the chance to participate.
I'm asking you to give as much or little as you can to help fund research, treatments & support for the Breast Cancer Care Charity. Every donation however small is just that one step closer to finding a cure.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks in advance
Aaron
