Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.

Story

For the month of November some foolhardy members of Abacus and Epsilon have decided to jump on the badwagon and get stuck into some serious tash growing for charity.

Those confirmed tash growers are Luke Ditchburn, Carl Bowman, Richard Lazell, Chris Vaughan, Claudio de Palma and Christian Bennewitz. (If you want to be added to the list please contact me luke.ditchburn@abacusdirect.com )

As a rule, men in the UK still access health services less frequently than women. Further to this, when they do visit the doctor they typically present late, thereby denying themselves the chance of early detection and treatment of common diseases.  As a result of a lack of awareness around men’s health issues in the past, many men today do not fully understand or know about the risks they face.

The charity we are supporting is Everyman. Everyman raises funds and awareness into prostate and testicular cancer research.
