Story
In December 2020, our Dad was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Within less than 2 weeks, just before Christmas he had started chemotherapy, which he will have every two weeks for 6 months. It is a brutal regime of treatment however his PET scan after 4 cycles has already shown an incredible response.
The care from the Haematology Team at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital is second to none. Despite the ongoing NHS challenges from COVID, the speed with which he has been diagnosed and had treatment started has been amazing.
On Sunday 19th September, I will be doing the Weymouth
Half Ironman Triathlon and prior to that Windsor Olympic Triathlon on Sunday 13th June. (If either event is again affected by COVID restrictions I will do them locally instead). I will be using the next few months to raise some money for The Big C cancer charity. As well as providing the incentive I need to keep training, this will enable us to give something back.
