The Indee Rose Trust is a charity incredibly close to our hearts. Our daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in June 2011. She soon after had her first surgery to have a Hickman line inserted in preparation for her first chemotherapy session and not long after had surgery to have a device called a VP shunt inserted. Soon after she started chemotherapy, she received her treasure box. this included dressing up clothes, DVDs, dolls, DVD player and other gifts. Her face beamed, and it was one of her last visual memories as not long after she lost her sight completely. Over 9 years, she went through so much, countless surgeries, 4 chemotherapy protocols, so many procedures, endless medications and interventions. Between all of it was happier times spent at the Indee Rose Caravan, where we made some amazing memories, the Indee rose Christmas party where she met all her favourite heroes. she also had an amazing 13th birthday party. they made sure she had some amazing happy times amongst all the hard times. She always had a smile on her face, especially when she had her sidekick dog Hugo with her. She loved being a big part of team Indee and they love her too. Devastatingly, we lost her in August 2020. the most horrific time. The Indee Rose Trust continue to be there for us all, and in Mia's name, we are determined to carry on making brave children like Mia smile and help create happy memories for brave families. Covid-19 meant for many charities they recieved a lot less funding than they normally would in 2020, many events could not take place. Mia would have turned 16 in September 2021, we would love to create a huge amount of smiles. Roughly 400 children are diagnosed with a brain tumour each year, each treasure box has a value of around £500, and that is how we have reached our huge target of roughly £17000. With team Mia, we would love to create lots of different fundraising events, get as many people as we can behind us and raise lots of money to create lots of smiles. The Indee Rose Trust do not recieve any government funding, they rely soley on fundraisers and we desperately need to help catch up from lost opportunities. Please help if you can.
