A new undergraduate scholarship fund for school leavers in the White and Blue Nile regions of Sudan.

Story

Fewer than 4% of children in Sudan have the chance of higher education. Early marriage for girls is still common as is fgm and trafficking. We want to help to change this.

£250 will fund a student from a disadvantaged area of Sudan for one year of university education. £1,000 will fund their entire degree including tuition, books and living costs. Whatever we raise will help change somebody's life.

Windle Trust International's mission is to challenge poverty and inequality by expanding access to, and improving the quality of, education and training for communities affected by conflict, displacement, neglect, or discrimination in Eastern and Horn of Africa.

They are currently seeking funding to launch a new scholarship programme to provide access to undergraduate education for school-leavers in Sudan's White Nile and Blue Nile states. 70% of these scholarships are aimed specifically for girls.
