We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

My Mum died of it, as did her Mum. My wife’s mum has it. My
Dad had it (two sorts) and my Uncle had it… Cancer is all the rage and it’d be quite nice if it wasn’t.

So I’m doing a sponsored walk, which probably isn’t the most
imaginative way to raise money but it is Scotland's Cape Wrath trail – 220 miles (probably more, I always get lost) through the most inhospitable part of a normally very hospitable country. And it’s the winter. Hopefully I’ll complete the whole thing in 16 days. If I don’t, well... I’ll miss my train home.

Admittedly I do a fair amount of this sort of thing anyway,
but this is tougher than usual. I only pass through any village or town 3 times in the whole trip, so do please sponsor me, if not for the charity, then for my family... who will get rid of me for a couple of weeks. Deserving causes all round.
