I am half Welsh and connected very strongly to that side of my family so was devastated by the news my Aunty had fallen ill. She was helped tremendously by Velindre, a cancer centre in Cardiff, and has pulled through with great endeavour. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: &quot;Calibri&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; color: #333333;">For this essential help Velindre gave to my family, I have decided that, with my cousin and six friends of mine, we are going to complete a cycle ride from London to Cardiff on 14-17 June 2012 to raise money for Velindre Cancer Centre.</span></strong></p>

She has come through the other side, obviously drained, and has put in so much hard work and bravery to overcome it (I'm immensely proud of her) but she has constantly heaped praise on the help Velindre has given her.</span></strong><strong><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"></span></strong></p>

Therefore I have organised this event, a cycle ride from London to Cardiff to raise money for this great charity. </span></strong></p>

The ride is 160 miles approximately door to door. Therefore we are going to attempt to complete this in 3 days, at around 50 miles a day.</span></strong><strong><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: &quot;Calibri&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; color: #333333;"><br> <br> <span style="background: white;">There are eight cyclists participating in this event. We are going to stay in 2 man tents in campsites on route which would already be pre-booked. We will pair up and share the load of our tents switching between the pair. When we get to Cardiff, on completing the journey, we are hoping to have risen over £2000 for the charity</span></span></strong></p>
