After running 7 half marathons it's time! I am running my first-ever Marathon in aid of Global Action Nepal! Your donations are greatly appreciated!

I visited Nepal in 2017 after the devastating earthquake. During my time there I was taken aback by the warmth and generosity and hospitality of the people. Despite being in a very difficult time, they showed great resilience and defiance. The people welcomed me into their homes and ceremonies.

I trekked through the Shivapuri national park up to Nargarkot. I want to run and raise money in aid of Global Action Nepal to give something back to the people who were so kind to me during my visit. As a parent, the project is close to my heart, and I want to raise awareness of the charity and contribute to improving poor children's access to education in Nepal.

GAN is a social organization that has been working exclusively in Nepal for over 25 years to help develop the education system and implement social change. We work to enhance the rising generation’s life chances in Nepal by widening its access to and participation in empowering, community-sustaining, gender-equalising basic education and vocational skills development.
