The British Heart Foundation is an amazing charity. In February 2011, one of our friends underwent heart surgery after falling seriously ill on his travels in Australia. Not only was the operation a success, he has made a full recovery and is taking part in Tough Mudder the day before we are! This sort of recovery would not be possible without the help of the British Heart Foundation, and I'm sure you will all agree that this is a worthwhile cause.

 

To help raise money for the charity, we are taking part in the Tough Mudder assault course on the 18th November. (From their website...) 'Tough Mudder events are hardcore, 12 mile-long obstacle courses designed by the Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. With the most innovative courses and half a million inspiring participants, Tough Mudder is the premier adventure challenge series in the world.'

This could be a rash decision, but we have committed now! It will only be worthwhile though if we can raise some money for charity. Also in honour of the great month that is movember, we will be sporting rather dashing moustaches too.
