Oxford Half Marathon 2019 · 13 October 2019 ·
On 17th May 2019 our beautiful Daughter Myla Freya was born sleeping at 28 weeks. Her precious life taken too soon, she never got to meet her Sister Amélie or Brother Alfie. We will never hear her say her first words, see her first steps, or hear her say “I love you”. Loosing Myla has torn our lives apart.
Following Myla’s birth we got to spend time making small but significant memories with her. We spent time in the Snowdrop suite at Northampton general hospital a dedicated suite supported and funded by Sands Northampton. Our time was made comfortable because of this we were able to talk to her, cuddle her and read to her.
We have found comfort listening to music, the snowdrop suite at Northampton General hospital doesn’t currently have this facility.
Amélie and Alfie have also been supported by books written specifically for bereaved Children.
Please help us raise money in Myla’s memory to enable Northampton sands to buy a wireless speaker for the snowdrop suite and books to help parents explain this harsh reality to children. We were also given a treasured memory box to remember Myla. Money will also help to maintain the upkeep of the room and garden and buy more treasured memory boxes for families to cherish their memories.
It would mean a lot to our family for your donations and support giving me the strength and determination to complete this half marathon in Myla’s memory but also supporting a charity that supports many families who have lost a child
