Hope Through Action was created to bring about an imaginative and life changing initiative for young people in South Africa, using sport to enable their development to help them cope with difficult realities. "Through the power of sport - to change lives, to bring hope and to release potential"

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Adrian and I am 12 years old. Every day on my way to my private school, I pass a township (Groendal) with so many poor people. Levy, who works for us, comes from Groendal. I want to help Levy, his family and all his neighbours. They have no where to go to on weekends or when they have no work which many of them dont. I am lucky as we always do interesting things on weekends. Please help me help them.

Hope through Action, a Philip Green charity who heads Prince Harry's trust, set up an indoor sports centre in a neighbouring township. He is now raising money for Groendal after the other one was such a success. Of the total 1,300,000 pounds cost there is only 200,000 pounds still needed to make such a difference to Levy's life and all his neighbours. Even if I only raise 100 pounds I know it will go to a worthy cause.

My challenge is I will do three officially recognised mountain bike races that is the maximum distance I am allowed to cycle for my age and then I am going to cycle the whole way around the Simonsberg mountain. This is 45km long with lots of steep hills. Before this year I have never done a cycle race. Even my Dad who is going to do it with me is nervous about doing it!

Please please please help. Even 10 pounds helps. It will make such a big difference to so many and last forever!
