My brother died nearly 30 years ago from grand mal epilepsy. I couldn't have imagined anything worse. Over the years it has affected other family members. This condition is now impacting on my own daughter, though there is a good chance she will grow out of it.

While I always feel uncomfortable asking for contributions in this way, I do believe it to be a worthwhile cause and of particular personal relevance. There is plenty of time until the race, Sunday 6th October, so even if a 100 people donated £1 each that would be a marvellous accomplishment.
