At Bendrigg Trust we aim to put an end to disabled people sitting on the side-lines during physical activities. We provide opportunities for people of all abilities to take part in adapted activities such as climbing, caving, canoeing and cycling whilst staying in our fully accessible accommodation.

Story

Bendrigg Trust Is a brilliant charity. They help people take part in adventurous activities they never dreamt possible due to their disability or social disadvantage.

In May 2018 I will be undertaking a continuous trek across the Highlands of Scotland from Fort William to Aviemore taking in all of the UK's 4000ft mountains from Ben Nevis in the west to Cairngorm in the east. A distance of nearly 200km across remote, mountainous terrain. I will be carrying everything I need and will be unsupported apart from one resupply at about half distance.

I am really fired up for the challenge but it is a daunting prospect, not just the physical demands (will my knees hold out) but the mental challenges in particular the solitude and dealing with unexpected situations. I am aiming to raise £4000 in sponsorship to raise much needed funds to help Bendrigg continue their valuable work.

Hopefully you think this endeavour worthy of your support. Thank you for  helping to make dreams a reality and to allow everyone to achieve through adventure.
