Adrian's Eiffel Tower Ascent

Adrian Brindley is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support
In memory of Jennifer Brindley
Macmillans Action Team volunteers across the UK are raising money to help Macmillan Cancer Support be there for people living with cancer and to ensure cancer doesnt become the forgotten C.

Story

I work with a UK-Wide team of volunteers and staff who help Macmillan Cancer Support at various challenge and fundraising events across the UK, from supermarket collections to marathons and festivals.  It is a great job getting to spend time with inspirational people. The cause is especially close to my heart having lost my lovely Mum to cancer.

With Face-to-face volunteering paused, we are finding socially distanced ways to fund raise safely to help ensure our charity can continue to be there for people with cancer today, tomorrow and for as long as they need us.

Before the pandemic, I had hoped to take my family to visit Paris this year and to mark (not doing) that I am taking on a mini challenge.

I am climbing the 1,348 steps a tourist visiting the Eiffel Tower would have to take to see the stunning views of the city, 674 to the second floor and 674 back down but I am doing this on our 13 steps in our home.
