Advance Investments chosen charity for 2017 is CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) who work to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD).  They also support young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offer bereavement support to families affected by YSCD.

In September 2016, a team of Advance employees and their families cycled their way between each employee's house.  Starting in Portishead, the team cycled to Chipping Sodbury, Warmley, Whitchurch, Pensford, Midsomer Norton and finally ended the challenge in Bath.  However, the challenge was hit by persistently heavy rain and several wrong turns and therefore the team have decided to give it another go in August 2017!

In September 2017, a team from Advance will also be taking part in a Dragon Boat Race in the still waters of Bath.  A team of ten will paddle furiously to the beat of their drummer, to compete in a series of heats, with the fastest teams progressing to the knock-out rounds of the competition.
