We help torture survivors to obtain justice and reparation.

Story

REDRESS is raising money for the work of Advocacy Forum Nepal, a ground-breaking and award-wining Nepalese organisation with which we have been working closely for many years, helping victims of torture to get justice for the harm suffered.

As a result of their work, victims have obtained justice, torturers have been brought to justice and the issue of impunity in Nepal is now forefront on the agenda in the country and internationally.

Advocacy Forum works to combat the culture of impunity in Nepal for human rights violations by promoting the rule of law. Among other things, they provide legal aid to the victims of human rights violations (including children suffering from impacts of armed conflict, and juveniles in detention centres) and undertake systematic monitoring and documentation of human rights violations.

Their work has been recognised internationally, having received a number of awards, including "Women in Leadership Award" (by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation).

Here is their website, where you can find more information about their work: http://www.advocacyforum.org/index.php.

All the money raised through this page will be donated to Advocacy Forum - please help us support their work!
